i guess it’s out of the question to say ‘hi’ to him after mass next Sunday, maybe around 10pm in a dark alley?

i think everything in church feels too long, but then i’ve never really gone for the right reasons

[ Has Will ever directly mentioned how Marcus's attitude about his religion is the main reason that Will rarely flinches from him about it? It's the ability to mock it - like it's an old friend, not a feared boss or parent - that makes it just seem all the more reasonable to Will's mind. ]

back when you were a priest, did you give short sermons?

maybe they should rethink that. i might have paid more attention in church if the priest got my attention with the occasional 'goddamn'.
